Right

I am still alive people, tho it has taken me a while recover from the GKGG weekends antics :)

So lets get down to business:

Friday 25th July 2003

Headed of to Rick's place round 2ish, met up with him, Drew and Foxylady before heading off to Heathrow to pick up Loka.
London traffic on a Friday afternoon is not pleasant, and wanting to avoid the congestion charge made it even more of a hassle for poor old Rick. Luckily, me and Drew just sat in the back talking aimlessly about music and stuff *grin*

Got to Heathrow later than we expected, but, after a mission finding the toilets and buying some muffins, we actually arrived at the perfect time to meet up with Loka at Int Arrivals.

Off the lot of us headed to Neil's place for the pre-GKGG BBQ.

We didnt take the quickest route by mistake and ended up getting there quite late, but it was great meeting loads of new people.
After a quick bite to eat and a good few stiff Stella's, mixing and chatting were in full force :D

To those who were there but didnt go to GKGG:

Muzik98, great seeing you again matey, glad you had a good time at Passion, sure you'll get in there again, see you and Mr Favourite end of the month for Psychout & Peach ;)

Johnny Favourite, sharp of tongue as always matey, had me in right stitches both night and morning :)

Helen, nice seeing you again too hun, tho you seemed a bit quite (but with us lot who can blame you? ;p)

Chris, spot on guv, spot on. Your sense of humour is wikkid, cant wait to meet up again.

Elaine, what more can I say than "RAWR!"? You rock chick, twas an absolute pleasure meeting you, see you at Psychout and hope you are loving Dark Suite :) Cute, funny and a dj? Rare breed I tell you, rare breed ;P

Back to the night, Rick got REALLY drunk (had me well confused the first time I saw you fall over fella, bless), Graham fucked up one of my mixes (bastard) and everyone ended up falling asleep (those who thought they were so sly by grabbing the couches first got there's in the morning, stiff necks and everything).

Saturday 26th July 2003

The morning was a recovering period, chatting about this and that, taking the odd piccy and generally waiting for Slam, Silverstorm and others to arrive.

Tren was my personal hero for the night tho, big up ya MILF hitting nutta :D

Time went on and many a pork sausie sammich and tea were served by Neil's wonderful parents.
Wasps were found to be not as fond of Pringles as the add lets on, especially when you chop on in half with a can like I did *mwahaha*

Slam and the gang finally rocked up and we were on our way... sort of.

Musta sat in Rick's car for an hour with the can o spam in my hand before we finally set off, funky music and rainfall all in tow.

Finally got there, and I was surprised by the sheer scale of the event. (keep in mind that the biggest party I had gone to prior to this was a meagre 3000 ppl, around a tenth of the size of GKGG)

Group piccie time led to me accidently whacking Skully a hella shot in the jaw with my head whilst falling backwards over Rich.
Sorry bout that matey :)

In we went, ponchos a flailing (it was wet OK) and strutted in without so much as a copper even check if I had a gun or summat.

Straight to the Gallery tent (it was close and we were wet), and had a wee jam before heading out for some fewd.

Sod the food I thought, and got myself a nice pair of glowies for the nite ;p

A bunch of us decided we were gonnna head of to the main floor (where I spent most of my night) for some more jammage.

Don't know who was playing at that point, but I did here the odd stomper and Carte Blanche did blow the roof off, hehe.

Met up with Geco too, was real nice having another saffa (Capetonian nogal) there to shoot the shit with :)

Decided I was gonna have a walkie around the tent to see if I could find peeps from the other 2 meetups I wanted to go to (UKC and TA).

An hour of walking around yielded only me being flagged down by Boss off UKC (thank you my lovely mpfreescene t-shirt), and even tho I got his number, I couldn't contact him to meet other UKCers for the rest of the nite :(

Half an hour later tho, I manage to get spotted by someone of TA.

w00t, I had arrived. :)

I now had a bunch of ppl to chill with in an area near enough to the main stage :D

The music was rockin, the ladies were delicious and the atmosphere was great... shame the MC was a tw@t ;P

Run down on what I remember:

Misstress Barbra: Hard and banging, while not fully to my tastes, was a decent enough set.
Push (live): Not at all what I was expecting (not a big Push fan), hella lot more pumping than I thought it would be.
Tiesto: NOT AT ALL what I expected, no boring proggy trance, was well energetic :)
Armin van Buuren: Dodgy mixing skills and poor mix structure, but some decent tunes (Ronski Speed mix of Binary Finary!!)
Fergie: TDV is rolling over in his grave, give up mixing dude, you is teh suck!
Marco V: YUMMYYUMMYYUMMYBOSHOHOLICS!!!! Twas a right banging set, loved his remix of Clocks.
Ferry Corsten: Man of the night for me, tho opinions differ. Not the uber-uplifting I was expecting, but some great elctro-funky stylee, love that remix of Rock Your Body Rock :D

I had a great dancey time, and loads of chats with ppl from all over.

Funniest thing was, a really good dancer that caught my eye for most of the night turned out to be a UKCer, tho I only found out 2 days ago, lol!

Mpfreescene Massive: (Sorry I didnt see much of you guys, but I couldnt handle the middle of the dancefloor)

You are one fucking mad nutter!!!!
First off, you'd better get rid of that UK lingo before me and the hubby come over, else we'll have to ignore you (or *gasp* join you!!)

Second, you're definitely outstripping me in the 'hardcore clubber' race now...best I sit the next few months out, hit the gym and hope to god I manage to get rid of the few braincells I have left before I get there. Don't reckon I'll have much need for them over there ;PP

Thanks for being the bestest brother anyone could ask for (hey, who says you can't choose your family?!)...and yes, my hangover was rather vicious ;)

*mwah mwah mwah*
